In 1997, the Skill Centre Corporation was founded with the purchase and renovation of a former department store in downtown London. The Skill Centre’s business model is to bring together not-for-profit tenants serving a diversity of employment and learning needs in our community, and a national retail tenant under one roof.
The Skill Centre Board of Director’s develops the strategic business opportunity for the community of tenants within the building.
The Skill Centre’s focus has always been about bringing people and jobs together. In addition to WILL, current non-profit tenants include Haldimand Norfolk London Learning Centre, Employment Sector Council, and the London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership.
The Skill Centre also serves as a popular downtown community meeting space. A large conference room (with kitchen facilities and a rooftop patio), and 3 boardrooms are available for rent. The Skill Centre’s conference facility was designed to host events of various sizes and the facility is well suited for a wide range of events, including board meetings, annual general meetings, press conferences, and social gatherings.
Located on The Skill Centre’s 6th Floor, our boardrooms and larger conference room (accommodating up to 100 guests), are equipped for audio-visual presentations and a full kitchen is available to meet your catering needs.
A roof-top deck overlooking downtown London is also available for use during the warmer months. The facility is wheelchair accessible, with easy and convenient public parking located next door at the Covent Garden Market. Our entrance is located on Market Lane.
